November 26, 2022 Year End S.H.E.-labration

Twenty participants from six Oahu churches got together at Nuuanu Baptist Church

Gay Williams encouraged us on the topic of lament and grace.  She introduced us to a good read titled Dark Clouds, Deep Mercy by Mark Vroegop

Praise the Lord!  S.H.E. had a sweet time together on the Saturday, November 26th to celebrate the Lord's goodness.  Cindy Gaskins led us into an intimate time of praise and worship.  Gay Williams shared a touching devotion about lament and grace.  We enjoyed knowing each other over a cup of aromatic tea, finger sandwiches, pastries and char siu bao.  In small groups, we poured out our hearts to pray for one another.  As finale, we presented gifts to our pastor's wife and vowed to remember their dedication in our prayers.  Our next get-together will be on Saturday, March 4, 2023.

Who Is S.H.E.?

It all began in early 2022, when a small group of Christian women informally got together on Zoom. As we met to share, learn, pray and fellowship, the desire to come together to do ministry began to sprout.  We eventually started meeting in person in April to brainstorm about women ministry on Oahu, and we call this ministry S.H.E. which stands for Seek Him Eagerly . WHO - The initial group includes eight women from six congregations spanning three generations. These women come from Hawaii Christian Baptist Church, Word of Truth, Mililani Fil-Am, Living Faith, Olivet and Waipahu Community Christian. What - Organic & Grassroot We are organic; alive in Christ. Our group develops naturally over time without being asked or told. We are grassroot.  We come together not as church delegates, but as individuals who want to bring about a Jesus movement among women on Oahu.  Why - Our Vision and Purpose Our vision is to ig nite and connect women in the Oahu Baptist network thr...
